Paul Cézanne
Artists sometimes buy or trade paintings. Cézanne included this watercolor in an exhibition in Paris in 1895. Degas, Pissarro, and another artist, Auguste Renoir, all saw it there. Degas and Renoir both liked it so much they wanted to buy it. They had to draw lots to decide who would get it. Degas won!
