Farewell to Lisa Arcomano, Manager of Campus Collections

Lisa Arcomano, Manager of Campus Collections, retired on June 28 after 11 years of dedicated service to Princeton. Lisa originated the position, designed to oversee the care and maintenance of the University's art collection; she established important relationships across the Princeton campus and has tirelessly advocated for Princeton’s artwork and its care. Lisa has managed the conservation of important campus artworks, and she has worked with major loan programs at Princeton–most notably at Firestone Library, where more than 60 objects were installed as part of the recent renovation. Everyone can enjoy Lisa's impact on campus as we encounter the Starn brothers’ (Any) Body Oddly Propped, in front of the Art Museum, Ursula von Rydinsgvard's URODA at the Andlinger Center, and Maya Lin's The Princeton Line, among others. Lisa’s passion for the collection generated two enduring projects, Campus Art at Princeton (2014) and the acclaimed Transient Effects exhibition and website (2017), which now serve as her legacy to Princeton’s art collections.
